MS WORD - MOVING WITHIN A WORD DOCUMENT



Create the document and give the heading styles for the headings.

Click on the “View” tab and check the “Navigation Pane”.

Navigation tab opens on the left side of the window. It consists of 3 options,

1.       Browse the headings in your document
2.       Browse the pages in your document
3.       Browse the results from your current search


Browse the headings in your document

As soon as the navigation pane is checked, the headings which are highlighted using “heading styles” will appear under the “Browse the headings in your document”.  Now select the heading in the navigation pane, it will enable the user to go to that particular part of the document.

Browse the pages in your document

This allows the user to view the pages in the thumbnail view. Select the page from the list of pages.

Browse the results from your current search

This option displays the pages which consist of the search term.
