MS WORD 2007 - CREATION OF LINKS AND OBJECTS EMBEDDING

This section describes about CREATING LINKS TO A DOCUMENT FROM A WORD DOCUMENT.
  • Open MS word document.
  • Click “Insert” button, select “Hyperlink” option from the links group to select the document to be set as a link.
  • Click “OK” button to create the hyperlink. Now the link is created. 
  • Then, press “Ctrl + Click” the below link to view the linked document.
This section will describe about INSERTING AN EMBEDDED OBJECT INTO A DOCUMENT.
Click “Insert” button, select “Object” option from the text group. 
 
  • Select “Create from file” to select the existing file.
  • Click “Browse” button to select the file.

  
  
  •  Now check the option, “Display as icon” to view the link as an icon.  
  •  The icon can also be changed by clicking on the “Change Icon” button.



  • Select the desired icon and click “OK”.



  • The icon is changed; click “OK” to embed the document into the word document. The document is embedded into the word document. 

  • Double click on the icon to view the document.
